Social Media Strategist
I’m from a small beach city in Southern California and am a transplant to North Carolina for the second time. After four years at UNC Charlotte as a student-athlete playing volleyball I returned to the sunshine state. I put my bachelors degree in Mass Communications to work and gained experience in both traditional and digital advertising. While working at full service agencies Johnson Gray and O’Leary and Partners (acquired by The Shipyard) I got a taste for newspaper, radio, TV, outdoor and PoS but also learned digital from the beginning starting with PPC. After learning the traditional advertising game, I found that what fired me up most was social media and content strategy. At the Shipyard in 2015 I saw the need from clients to streamline social as an offering because of its power to reach and connect with more people and pioneered an in-agency social media operation. Since then and leading up to now I have solely focused on content marketing and social media strategy at Taylor Digital and The Sandbox Agency.
My experience has been crafting digital strategies for a variety of local, regional and national clients, ranging from food to agriculture. My expertise includes Fortune 100 company John Deere, YMCA, Sprint, Marley Coffee, fast-casual chain restaurant Blaze Pizza and several Bimbo Bread brands including Nature’s Harvest.
I’m a problem solver, a challenge-acceptor and an idea-haver. And most representative of my role here, I’m a strategist. When I’m not working, I’m hanging with my dogs Max and Chica, tending to my plants or crafting something you might see on Pinterest. Some of my recent creations include cement planters (by hand!) for my succulents, macrame hangings and designing and sewing handmade bathing suits.
